That car certainly takes some abuse - anyone else see something come off it when he got the air comingoff the wharf??
The filming was insane, cleared out the city pretty well...

Plenty of similar roads from the movie 'Bullitt' I retraced just about every road in the chase scene and saw about 5 of the same movie locations. Cant believe they would go to all that trouble and not have him doing stuff on Lombard street????

I thought maybe that was Lombard St about the 5:20 mark, but I'm only going on what I've seen in pictures. Sounds like you know SF much better than me.

Very very close there Mr Wonky. Im 99% sure the street at 5.20 is actually Vermont street. Lombard street boasts to be the steepest and crookedest street, and the tour companys would have you believe this but the true crookedest street is actually tucked out of the way and almost none of the tour companies take you there. Have a look at some images of Vermont st. Lombard street is too pretty with flowers and stuff. From memory, Lombard also has red cobblestones, whereas Vermont has concrete or asphalt?
EDIT
Ooops..how dare I say none of the tour companies take you there.... this one does...http://www.theurbansafari.com/

Yep, you're probably correct. The flowers and colour did have me wondering but I didn't realise there was another similar street having never been anywhere near there (yet). :(
