Hi Guys,
I am thinking of buying a set of 18" Koya Bathurst wheels to use as my track wheels on my VE HSV.
Does anyone have these wheels for track use?
They seem a little cheap so I am weary of buying them and having them break under the extra pressure and stress of track work.
Any advise is welcome.
Thanks in advance

I have a set of new 18 x 8.5's in silver with Yoko A050's on them for Hillclimb. I've had them for a couple on months and just had the tyres fitted today. They look great on the car (red VS),
don't like the dual valve stems, can't see the point. On a set of scales they weigh the same as a VE SS (I) wheel and tyres and seem pretty strong. I chose them for the fact that I could have different offsets front
and rear for a far cheaper price that a custom ordered set of 3 piece wheels. I was pretty impressed with the look when I bolted them on today, they look very similar to the V8 Supercar wheel. Bit of a shame they don't come with a centre cap though.

Thanks for the reply,
Can you post a pic of them fitted to your car?
What's the deal with the locating ring that comes supplied with the wheels?
I spoke to Koya 6 months ago and was told one valve is for inflation/deflation and the other is checking the tyre pressure (both can be done at the same time).
They said it was a tyre inavation and all wheel brands would be using that system very soon. :jerk:
I'm like you, cant really see the point of the twin valves.

I have a set of 18" Koya racing wheels for the track. I have Hoosier tyres on them.
The wheels have held up great and are certainly lighter than my street set.
I cant see why they have dual valves either. Other people at the track commented on them (not positively either).

I have a pair of the RG Teks in 18x8.5 for the front of my car as they clear big brakes.
I had Porsche cup slicks on them and they have been fine, I only wish they came in 18x9 so I could fit a 265 AO50 on them.
I think the duel valve has something to do with people who run pressure loggers for tyre pressure, that or wank factor
