View Full Version : Updating the car.
Have a 317 VE HSV series 1 and it has been excellent. Has now turned over 89000 km and I was looking at upgrading it to the latest series 3. Just interested to look at your thoughts, there are some reasonable deals around but would you:-
Take a good deal now or wait until the new model comes out later next year. I assume HSV will be releasing a model then. Considering that another 12 months another 20,000 will be added and the value decreases with a new model release.

Don't forget that if you buy a new one now, it will be superceded within 12 months so you'll take an extra resale hit that way even if you don't take an extra resale hit on your current car.
I would definitely wait for the VF now. Would kick yourself buying another VE now when you already have one imo. You already have the 6.2L.
Yes, I was influenced by the offer I received for a new GTS, sunroof, full tint $63000 today. The decision!!

Thats good deal auto or man? Ive got an E3 & i like mine to the point i prob wont sell it(for the vf), but if i was in your shoes id definatly wait til the vf comes out before you decide as youll more than likely pick up an even better deal then with the runouts.

Not to mention the E1's look a shit load better than the E3's. Stick it out until VF.
Black Auto with tinted windows and sunroof.

The HSV website was updated this morning, seems you have a base clubby(more like an ss) then the rest of the range which is all customisable, sucks for those black edition owners who forked out stacks for as you can now build an exact one for prob less.
I have the build number of the one they have offered me, it is on the lot. I will check.

I'm in the same boat. Just had a play on the HSV site, Senator in white with 6 piston brakes, black SV wheels, sunroof. Then OTR, baby cam, coil overs. Could nearly do it now...................................
