Hi there

While cleaning the inside of my ride and the rear parcel shelf I noticed that paint has started to come off the rear speaker grills for some reason. Not sure why, but I'd like to remove them and repaint them.

I haven't tried prying them out or attempting to remove them before getting feedback here on how to do it without rendering any damage, to them or where they fit.

Cheers

It's been a long time since I removed mine but if they're like the VX Clubsport "I THINK" they are removed with the parcel tray cover as one piece.

Yes, you remove the parcel shelf then get them off the parcel shelf by bending the little tang things from underneath.
You can buy brand new aftermarket ones for around $25 a pair from car accessory places, ebay or car audio places.

Hi there
OK really dumb question, but how do you remove the parcel shelf? Easy to do?

Cheers

See if I can remember most things.....
First you remove the base of the rear seat, there are 2 clips, one each at the base of the seat dead centre at the front of the seat under left and right rear passenger seating positions. (They are little lever like pull things, you just pull to release the seat.)
Next remove seat base.
Next unbolt the back of the seats from the bottom of the back parts of the seats, lift the sections up and remove.
Next unbolt the lower mounting bolts holding the seatbelts.
Next remove all the clips holding the plastic cover panels around ski port hole / tunnel hole through the trunk inside the car.
Next remove all the child seat bolts and spare bolt plug holes.
Next carefully unclip the centre seat belt escutcheon being carefull the clips do not break as they have been sitting in the sun for many years and will have become very brittle.
After that you should be able to gently pull the parcel shelf out.
You will need a set of Torx drivers to undo some of the bolts and also a few basic spanners or sockets.
I hope that helps...Most of it is just simple look and see how it works mixed with some common sense, it is not hard.
Good luck:cheers:

I am sure someone else will correct or add more to this ;)
