i have recently been told that my 2007 VZ SS crewman is extremely rare as it has a L98 motor with a 6 speed, can anyone confirm this or has one as I've been told that they only come out with a L76 motor. Any feedback would be appreciated

all the info should be on the build plate somewhere in the engine bay

I am pretty sure the last of them had the L98.

May be true - but I'd be very surprised. I did mass research before I bought my VZ Crewman SS Thunder - which I believe was the last Crewman model. Mine is a L76 M6. I'd also be surprised if it is a 2007 (could've been sold 2007 but would've been manufactured 2006).

While there were some L98 VZ's - I have never seen a L98 Crewman. Yours would be very rare if you have one.

Anyway - it's all on the plate as subtle has said. If it is a L98 I'd love to see a pic of the plate on this thread.

 you can't link directly to your computers HDD... You need to host the photo on like www.photobucket.com then copy the link from there...

The VIN options answer all.
Having a rare L98 won't make it worth more than an L76, if that is where you were leading. The 07 production "might" make it worth a little more than an 06 production...condition dependent of course. ;)
