hi all,

attempted to replace and install the Superpro IRS camber kit on the rear of my VY Monaro the other day and ran into a slight dilemma. ive loosened one side of the trailing arm, and dropped it down, but cant for the life of me remove the crush washer and bushes from inside the trailing arm. Ive tried heating it up, bashing it out, cutting it out, and this thing just wont budge. For those who are unsure which ones im on about, see the below pic. its the bottom 2. The rear end is still bolted into the car so i cant use a press

When i done the 4 point install on my VQ (same arse end basically) i pulled the arm out of the car like it is in the pic above.
I used an angle grinder to cut one side of the standard rubber bush off so it could be knocked through the arm. 4lb hammer and a dolly had the rubbers out in no time. If they are stubborn use a drill and carefully drill holes down each side of the inner metal tube. This will help the rubber collapse.

Easy as. Remove the bolts from the bushes you may have to cut the outer bolt as there isn't a lot of room on the later models. Then just remove your brake line and caliper along with the sway bar and shock and it should just fall out. PITA doing it on the ground and by yourself i must say! Installation is just the reversal of removal and just follow the instructions on the paper in the camber kit box.
