After opinions on wether this is a decent buy.

$25-$26k for a 2006 VZ Senator with 99900km.

What you guys think ? Good buy , bad buy about average ?

Also any known problems with this model? What sort of condition would an engine with this many k's be in.

Cheers
Daniel.

Daniel, that's a pretty good price for the car.
Get hold of the vin no & authenticate it with hsv (this can be done on their website)
do a securities/ write off check.
get a pre purchase inspection (preferably with a forum sponsor who know these cars inside out)
get quotes on insurance, you'd be surprised how expensive insuring a HSV can be.
good luck with the purchase.
what colour is it?

Wife works for CGU so get staff discount on insurance which is good.
Cars at a dealer and comes with warranty although I'm sure I'd have to service it with them to maintain the warranty.

Odyssey Senator love it - Biased about the colour though

You don't have to maintain the servicing through the dealer, just as long as its up to date.

Thats fairly decent price through the dealer for an 06

I've seen them down to $22K with 50K kms more on the odo. I reckon it is about ball park. As long as it has a good service history and drive nice etc it probably not too bad a buy. I would try for 24K and see how you go.

For what it's worth I sold mine nearly 2 months back for 25k. I had two people seriously enquire in 6 months. Immaculate 2006 build #433 second owner black with black interior 115000klms.

If you aren't in a rush you could possibly buy it cheaper off the seller, the market is dead at the moment

most dealer warranties (extended) make you take it back to them for servicing
