air con wont turn on 2009 ve omega

My brother in laws ac seems to have packed it in. The fan turns on but no matter how much you push the ac button, it doesn't turn on or light up. This is a pre iq system model with normal ac, not climate control.

I've looked for a blown fuse but can't even find a fuse for the ac. Anyone got any ideas?

might have a gas leak, if it has leaked gas for some reason it wont turn on.

Ok thanks, i didn't know that. We're not sure if it has leaked, we'll have to get it checked.
