Hey guys,

Scoured the Internet with nil help so thought I would ask someone who may know the answer.

Purchased an after market central locking kit for the gfs car and fitted it myself. Initially the locking/unlocking buttons were seemingly around the wrong way. Press unlock and it would lock, and lock and it would unlock etc. now everything is colour coded and I've double checked that I have wired it all up correctly. We pulled the remotes apart, changed the button covers over, and voila, problem solved. Or so we thought.

Now, when we lock the car, it locks, lights flash, siren beeps as it should and the car is locked. Then it would seem to check the locks, but there is a noise heard maybe 20 seconds after locking where the doors stay locked, then after another 15-20 seconds the doors unlock themselves and the car is wide open.

This does not happen when you lock the car with the key manually, only when you lock it with the remote.

I have no connected the immobiliser part of the alarm, nor the foot brake part. I was really only meant to be a remote central locking unit.

Any idea what the problem could be ?

the only problem I'd think it would be is wiring is around the wrong way around. maybe there's a switch inside the main box you can swap around. do the instructions say much?
