Hey, I am after the rubber grommet for the IAT sensor to plug into my OTR, it didn't come with my new intake and my old intake I long gone, my local Holden dealer also has no idea what I'm talking about, ha!
Cheers,
David

A few people I know have just used a rubber mounting grommet from a standard airbox or coolant bottle mate.

I just moved your thread because I don't think it should be a "classified advert" thread and I think you will get more answers here.

Thank you, I asked the Holden dealer for the stander runber part and they couldn't find it in their system :/

I also think I have seen some IAT sensors just glued into the fibreglass OTR's with Sikaflex type material with no grommet at all.

I think most IAT sensors were factory fitted through a hole in the plastic intake with a spring washer type of retaining clip
on the other side to hold them in place so I don't think there was a grommet for a factory setup.
If you have a metal OTR, just try one of those rubbers which holds your stock air box in place, you won't need it with your OTR.;)
Clark Rubber have many different grommets.

The airbox mounting rubber is the correct part, as used by HSV on their VT-VY GTS and VY2 285kW duct.
It is in the HSV listing, not the standard "Holden" listing. Probably why the dealer staff member had issues with it.
People need to remember that most dealer staff aren't that hardcore with the trainspotting stuff like most of you guys perhaps are. Just because they work there doesn't mean they have a rainman like memory of 100,000 part numbers and their each and every application...;)
We also have to use the utterly piece of sh!t EPC4 from Snap-On. Many have not mastered it's inherent nastiness.
Hence why he's asking the question here.

Correct.
Just saying, as some appreciate knowing things from the other side of the fence, rather than just hearing the forum land versions of every story...:)

@ the end of the day the IAT is simply a thermistor as long as the bulb measures the air stream I'm sure any suitable rubber grommet would do!

Yeah, you can probably find one that suits at Bunnings.........

Thanks everyone, I completely understand that it was probably my fault confusing the guy in parts as I was explaining it wrong, just used the part # Ziggy supplied and is now sorted, thanks again
