Hey all, new here so thought I should introduce myself with my newly acquired wagon.

My names Matt and I've always wanted an ls1 powered wagon. So just the other week I found this one and bought it. 2003 vy ss wagon. Ls1, 6 speed manual and 240rwkw. It's got otr, pacemakers, high flow cats, full twin 2.5" exhaust with 3 mufflers in total and a maf less tune. Lowered with Pedders springs and shocks all round over pre ve aftermarket ve ssv 19's. And that's how I bought her. Oh and it had chev badges and roof racks.

I've already fitted an elite engineering catch can and have a powerbond 25% underdrive kit sitting here ready to fit. Removed the roof racks, removed the commodore badge and chev badge off the tailgate ( gotta get a Holden badge to fill in the holes ) and swapped the chev grille for a Holden grille. Other then that all I've done is pump in nothing other then bp98 and enjoy driving it :) after all I did only buy it on the 01/12/12.

Here's a photo a friend done for me. I will upload more another day as I'm off to bed now.

Well I've fitted a new diff, a ripshifter, the 25% under drive kit has been fitted with an arp harmonic balancer bolt.

Also took her down to the wilby drags, first run was my best run with a 9.89 it's only 1/8th mile and the timer starts as soon as the light turns green. Bogged down the next to runs, then busted a cv going for a 4th run.

Needless to say I now keep spare cv's in the shed to bring with me next time I go to the drags after needing a tow home.

So i took the big girl down to heathcote today, first time ever at a proper drag strip and first time ever at a proper1/4th mile track. Wouldn't call the local Willy 1/8th mile anywhere near proper Haha.

Got there late so only managed 2 runs, first run i forgot to air down the tires, so they were at 36 or 38, ran a proper14.4 with all of first and 2nd just being mad axlehop. 2nd run had the tires on 26, first still ended up useless in massive axlehop and part of 2nd.

My only aim was anything in a 13 and to get over 100mph, being i'd never been before, ( wilby is more like racing on the st with a stopwatch, so i don't really consider it the drags ) so with both runs being a touch over 108mph and just scraping a 13 on the 2nd run i'm happy, clearly i need alot of work on my 60ft with both being pretty much 2.6 lol. Spose wheel spin will do that.

I'm the left lane both runs.

Lowered with Pedders springs and shocks all round ...there is your problem, Replace instantly with stock RE2 and watch the numbers tumble……..minus the soul and car destroying axle hop…..
Simple choice
1? Real power
2/ Or Looks & bling

So would the fe2s obviously be a softer spring rate. If so what pound springs are they in comparison.
What do you suggest slice a couple of coils of for the desired height.

Love the black and red wagons. Good choice and getting harder to find in manual.

They are the softer pedders at least being comfort gas shocks and touring springs, going to try a bit less tyre pressure. See if i can find that sweet spot between bogging down and spinning or in my case tramping.

Also the other day i pulled the rear springs out for a laugh and see how it would look, don't worry they went back in after a short drive of course.

Only got my tablet to take photo's on atm, so probably not the best. Oh and i have changed the tail lights to base model ones, i plan to tint the edge like the ss ones, i think these look better with grey top instead of clear.

I think I've stated something here haha. Pretty sure 15's wouldn't fit, not that I've tryed. I think I read somewhere 17's where the smallest you could go.

Should be heading to heathcote this Sunday, see if i can better my pb. Might run my 15's all round, i have 2 15x6's and 2 15x7's. Or just leave the 19's on again.

Any recommendations as to what I'd be better of running with?
