Hi guys,
as above my sportwagon is going as i'd like to make way for a clubbie. does anyone know what they are realistically selling for?
mine is a black manual, has 40 thousand kms, HSV1 steering wheel and gearknob, CSA 20 inch rims and lowered 20mm. otherwise standard.
cheers.

It is worth what someone is prepared to pay for it...
Have a look at redbook for an indication http://www.redbook.com.au/cars/research/used/details/2010-holden-commodore-ve-551560?R=551560&Silo=spec&Vertical=car&Ridx=32&eapi=2
Trade In - high $20's, private - mid $30's

You won't sell it for mid 30s in a hurry!
Unfortunately it's probably worth half the original price .....

I wouldve thought this too. Theres a black one on carsales for mid 30s with 20" rims, but it only has 18K on the clock.

You would think $35K would be a reasonable price for a 2010 SSV manual wagon with 40,000K. I assume it's not a series II. I think a 2010 SV6 sedan with 40K is worth around $25K, another $10K for SSV wagon seems fair price.

Be interesting to see 2012 vs early 2013 trade price difference. Mate looked to trade wife's 2011 Sv6 this year and was given 6k less on trade within 6 months of first offer.
VF a couple of months from breaking cover must be hurting the VE trades aswell as now another year under its already stretched belt.

That's it, they have been flogging the dead horse for too long. I would expect once the VF hits the market to see a drop in the value of the older VE market. If I was looking at selling my VE1 I would price it to sell, and do it sooner rather than later. What is a fair price? I would check your local papers and carsales, allowing carsales is often a 'wish price' and not necessary a 'sell price'. It needs to be price to sell in your local market.
We traded our Ss 2010 sports wagon in April 50,000km on one dealer offered $30,000the other 28,000 but different prices on the new car ,I stripped all the extras off it wheels exhaust etc intake etc for the new one as they won't give u any extra for ur extras etc selling private will get more but u prob get stuffed around by dickheads

Guess it all depends on what ya trade it on! Not very nice to call fellow LSers "dickheads" either!

Rather than starting a new thread thought I would revive this one.
I am also selling my 2010 SSV SE Sportwagon. Black, auto, 43,000km, lowered, tint, tow bar and other factory options. All books and in good condition overall.
What could I expect to get either as a trade or privately? Dealer informed me today that Holden's recent announcement has hurt the value of used Holden's already. Not sure if it is of relevance re trade value, but the new car is a Mercedes ML350.
I have it advertised in the classifieds on here.
Unfortunately with the introduction of the VF and it being so far ahead of the VE I think you will have dropped another 5K on what you might otherwise have got.

All guess work on my part, but judging by tradeins of $28,000 and $30,000 a year ago, I would think you'll be lucky to get $25,000 as a trade in. Maybe private sale would be very low $30's, personally I'm not keen on the SE's and I think that isn't going to help with the value, but surely you can something over $30K (private sale) when you have an SSV wagon with only 43,000 Km on it.
