4spd box conversion to triptonic or VE Clubby 6spd box

Hello again Forum,

I am wanting to know some information on changing/converting gearboxes for future reference and modifications to the Series 3 Monaro.

She has currently got the standard tried and tested lazy 4spd Auto but I am romancing the idea of changing the entire gear box to either a 4 - 5 speed triptonic box or possibly put a VE clubsport 6spd auto in.

Is this even possible?
Will I see any gains in off-the-line acceleration?
Has anyone done this before, what have been your experiences?
What sort of coin are we looking at for this kind of change over?

Buddy there is heaps of info on the Forum about this.
Biggest problem is the A6 uses it's own computer, which would make it a very expensive and worthless exercise.
Please learn to use the :search: instead of starting so many useless threads.
