time for a new car, rather than waiting for a vf ssv, im thinking a run out clubby may be the go. what are they selling for at the moment?
Brett240
Surely you are not asking other forum members to look up the price if R8 Tourers on carsales for you!
Can i suggest you pick up your phone and ring a few HSV dealers?
OR, perhaps you should have worded your post differently. That is, has anyone purchased an R8 Tourer in the last few weeks and were they able to get a better price than (insert best researched price here)

yes sorry i am asking if anyone has had any recent experience on pricing. its nice to know before i start.
Carsales prices are anywhere from 60K for a sedan, which seems too cheap ( add 3 for a wagon ) to 75K so prices are all over the joint.

60k is for a Clubsport sedan, around 75k for a Clubsport R8 sedan.
Are you after a sedan or Tourer wagon?

an R8 touer wagon. there's not a lot of them so recent sedan sales from members would still be helpful. i figure a wagon is sedan cost plus 3K

has anyone got one in the colour 'Chlorophyll'? photos of that colour are hard to find. the HSV website doesnt give a good indication of what it looks like as its a computer graphic.

I would have thought +10k for a wagon over the sedan, at least that is what it was when I got my Tourer.

there was 3K difference between the SSV wagon and sedan 3 years ago, though it looks less for the HSV models.
this was 2010 pricing:
ClubSport R8 $67,600
ClubSport R8 (a) $69,600
ClubSport R8 Tourer $68,600
ClubSport R8 Tourer (a) $70,600

Sorry, I was talking used car sales. The sedans drop a lot quicker due to there being so many of them.

Just noticed on Carsales this weekend, MY12.5 Clubsport sedans advertised for as little as $53,500 but most most in the mid 50s.

Looking at Tourers on Sales (new or demo) there is 2 in WA for $60K then all the others are more like $70K and over, but Clubby sedans (not R8) are around $55K or so. Did you consider an SS V Z series which are Redline equivalent, Brembo brakes etc. I guess after selling your SS V wagon you want something differnet - didn't take you long to your wagon, nice looking car.

theres only a handful left for sale now, none I can get my hands on without buying interstate, and HSV have stopped E3 production from what ive been told. my old wagon lasted 2 weeks on carsales. id considered an ssv redline but its too similar to my old car. I think now ill be carless until the VF is out and ill get a new clubby wagon.
this will be a long wait....
