AWD W-Barge - Can/Has It Been Done?

Around Para Hills I sometimes see a raised 4WD H series stato and wagon - think the Statesman is HQ (olive green) and the wagon a HZ (white).

Given the longer platform used for the W series Statesman/Caprice is also used for VT-Z ute and wagons, is it possible to drop a WH, WK or WL shell onto an Adventra, Avalanche, Crewman, or Cross 8 - or fit the AWD running gear from Adventra etc into a WH/K/L??

Not looking to actually do it to create an updated version - just curious if it can be done or has been done.

If it has the AWD floor pan it's a bolt in job :)

Electrics can be a little fussy to get right but with the correct combination of parts it can even be done using an L98/6.0L.
