Hi guys, long time since i used the old LS1 forum, after a list of small turbo cars and bikes its time to get back into something with real torque!
Imjust about to order a new SS ute and looking at extras.
has anyone used the holden sports armour for the front bar? its only $300 genuine and i think it actually looks ok and would do a good job protecting the front bar
thoughts?

Well I have a VY SS and the bottom of the bar is all scraped :( Sometimes you just hit those damn kerbs even though you think you've got room

Looks like the S2 version of something quite a few guys added to their S1 and on them it added a bit more edginess and set them apart a bit in a good way. Bit hard to tell from that small pic and in Googling I found a bigger version but it was all blurry. :( I agree with you that it should look good on, plus provide a bit extra protection.

I think Holmart do it for $269.
I'm 50/50 on getting one, if I do I'll do a 3M Carbon wrap on it, if it looks shithouse (to me) it will be in the classifieds :)
Wonky some better pics.

I was the guinea pig for the S1 Version (well..one of about 6) so that was a freebie for me..

I much prefer the series 1 lip.
If only you could adapt it to fit a Series 2.
maybe cutting the big side parts could give it a more simple clean look.
