Hi have a vx ss cammed. Just had bigger injectors fitted and also my fuel filter was badly clogged so I replaced that. Everything is fine but when the car warms up you can hear the fuel pump sort of making a fast cricket bug noise like you hear at night time. Its not loud but you can hear it standing near the car. Checked underneath and its def coming from inside the fuel tank. Wasn't doing this straight away prob few days after I changed injectors and filter. Could this be start of fuel pump starting to wear out? If so been told to just get a walbro pump fitted. Was gonna do it my self but have been told there is some slight modifying to do to the pump into the assembly??.

It most likely is on its way out if it is getting noisy. A walbro pump is a good upgrade so it doesn't start to lean out at high revs. It isn't a hard job to fit them just a bit fiddly to do.
Don't have to modify the assembly at all really, hardest part is getting it out then not breaking the clips off when removing the pump.. Aeroflow make a bigger intank pump for about $20 more, so don't go straight out n by the Walbro..

Hey Timy,
Which Aeroflow are you referring to?
Im considering changing my walbro 255lph high pressure pumps for something capable of higher PSI. Ideally looking for pumps which can do 110psi+ at reasonable flow. Current isnt an issue.
Cheers
