Watched all of it on 7mate.
What a circuit...plenty of dollars spent there. It seemed to me that many of the locals have warmed to our Supercars, the crowd of 68000 was higher than expected, and over twice the attendance of a recently held sportscar event. I'll be interested in the "feedback" from relevant sponsors/ratings etc.
I also hear that Chrysler is on the edge of joining the "Circus". Anyway, I wish V8 Supercars all the best....must be a lot of work "behind the scenes" to get something like Texas up & running.
Cheers, Pickles.

Was not too bad for a Tilke track - they don't usually suit the V8s.

Was funny seeing the front on shot of the starts down pit straight - track is so wide they looked like Aussie Racing Cars, going 4 and 5 wide and still plenty of vacant track around them.

Hope next year they send some extra tyres over - extra allocation or some used tyres for practice - not good seeing them trundling around in practice and doing media rides using wet tyres on a dry track in 30+ degrees.

I watched a little of it. It seemed to me the track was just too big to really get the cars into the zone of close, fender rubbing racing

Much like Dubai etc, all safety and F1 style.

Gee they were slamming over some of those kerbs especially towards the end of the esses.
I like the left right design of two of the corners so if you stick your nose down the inside you have to hold it all the way around the next fast sweeper to stay in front.
Like Whincup did on Lowndes, it made for some good racing.

Coultard, Whincup and Lowndes each pinged 30 points for race 3 restart.

Yep, somehow they managed to get in more ads than ususal for that time of morning, which is a good efford given that timeslot is generally filled by infomercials.

Reckon it was about 8 or 9 degrees here in Adelaide when Tubby Taylor was trying to sell me a Fujitsu aircon...but I will never tire of seeing that guy faceplant into a borrow-full of cement.

I thought considering the type and size of the track, the racing was suprisingly close...
