At the start the commentator said it's the longest race on the planet, guess they haven't heard of Le Mans or Bathurst. ;)

Yeah Bathurst 24hr 2003 springs to mind .....532 laps from memory.....Over 3300km... Excellent race with both Monaros flat out for the last handfull of laps.
