hi mate I,ve read a thread in the us where they had e85 sitting around for a year plus obviously in a properly sealed container without issue !!! mine sat in Gerry cans and a drum for 4 months while motor was being built etc !!!! all you can test is the ethanol content !!! not the octane rating or quality so thinking the ethanol content wouldn't change from when it was new !!!! I run mine on genuine united e85 when I race but also use eflex quite often on the street can't tell the difference !!! cheers

Surely a lot cheaper than that at the pump but quality is known to fluctuate, hence the ethanol readers... but for half the price, I don't think you'd notice a difference on the street.

yeah pump E85 is heaps cheaper but the fuels not as good, and not consistent. The levels of ethanol can vary quite a bit at the pump but like you said wont be that noticeable on the street.

Our united e85 has been the same for years, always tests out at around E91ish with eFlex at e74. Always the same, no need to buy overpriced 'race' e85

Can't see why you'd pay $4/L in that case!
Yet another reason why we're the Wait Awhile state

What sort of L/100km does it use? About 20-30% more than 98?

nahh you wouldnt, maybe if you couldnt get it via the pump and were using it for racing only but even then you could probably get even better race fuel for not much more...

I dont run it in my car so cant give you an accurate figure but iv been told its about 30% more than 98

agree totally mate same here in nsw !! as said I run united when racing cause I'm pushing the limits big boost etc !!! paid low as $1.04 to 1.25 per litre !!! my setup ran around 32/33litres per 100km on u98 with 600+rwhp compared to 40litres per 100km now !!! built 408 stalled t400 huge 200pd injectors which cost fuel 800 rwhp street settting!!! anyway all good

have been runing this for the past 3 years and have never found United to go under E83

http://www.zeitronix.com/Products/ECA/ECA.shtml

Also have a GM fuel composition tester and its always shows exact reading as the zeitronix analyzer. good for back to back testing.

E-Flex various massively, usually in the E70's.
