Hey guys, I'm looking to buy this Xforce 2 1/2" stainless rear muffler hot dog style rear pipes.
The owner had it on a VZ for 6 months. He said it would need basic modifying to fit a non xforce system.
I have a 2 1/2" catback but it's not X-Force. and my car is a VX.
Would I be able to get this fitted to my car with no dramas?

after seeing several people do this, IMO you'd be better off keeping the rear resonator and deleting the two front mufflers, or be prepared for one droney ****er of an exhaust!

I've done a search and read up on that. i might go that way but replace the center mufflers with hotdogs.

From what I have seen the front fitting of a cat back (from where it mounts to the flange joint at the rear of the cats)
is more or less a standard bolt up fitting and most off the shelf brand cat backs (stock or aftermarket) can be swapped or bolted up from here.
The rest of the cat back is where the major changes are, there are no standard fittings or flanges from there on
so in answer to your question the rear section of an "abc" brand catback will not usually just bolt up to the front section of an "xyz" brand catback
and is likely to require cutting, welding and joining modifications.
So...I would not bother trying to do it as I think it would cost too much money to "patch" it together to be worthwhile.;)

Oh I dunno - I went to the trouble of patching up my Xforce system to have a H pipe insted of an X pipe, and thought the result was well worth the investment!

Yeah, that may well have been worthwhile.....
but..... as I posted before, the pipes on other various brand catbacks usually bend in other places have other flanges and route through other angles
there can be a fair bit of work involved "patching" and getting them to fit together.
I just think if you have to pay some custom exhaust place to modify it the cost would be expensive and just not be worth the money,
especially as the OP is talking about "looking to buy" the secondhand rear section and modify it to fit with the rest of his old exhaust system.;)
