Are there any developers out there using ios 7 yet? I have a couple of questions regarding the operation of the the messages function.

Cheers,

Peter.

There are a few iOS devs but I would ask the question over in whingepool instead of here if you want a proper answer.

Avoiding whingepool is the reason I asked here.

Well I have never met any iOS devs on this forum, would be interesting if we have any.

Not a dev but I've been using it for months. What's the question

Is there any way of cleaning up the recent SMS list in the new messages client? On ios 6 you can clean up the auto populate recent email address list but not the SMS list. Consequently, if you want to delete an out of date number you can remove it from your address book but every time you start to enter the name or the phone number in messages the old number comes up next to the name. It's annoying.

Reset all settings might work

Amazingly it is stored in the back-ups and can't be edited on ios6 so the only way of clearing this is to do a complete wipe of the phone and not reinstall from back-ups. Mail used to do this to but they updated it with ios6 so that now you have an arrow next to any email address which enables you to delete it from the cache. I was hoping that Apple has added this basic feature into ios7 for messages.
