Picked it up last week ... tints, floor matts & full size spare the only options.

Very impressed with it so far, a definte step up over the VE. I haven't had any of the little niggles reported by other owners so far so hopefully I got lucky and it'll be trouble free!

Had it lowered on Pedders Sports Ryder suspension today. Sitting just where I wanted it, really happy with the result and it makes a massive difference to the look of the car. Feels just as comfortable from the inside and I've had it in and out of a few tough driveways today with no touching so I think I have the height just right.

Haven't played with much of the inside stuff yet but linked up my phone and uploaded the contacts, which was all a piece of cake without looking at the books! Love the interior ... keen to try the self park but will do that somewhere quiet over the weekend. Not sure I'll ever use it as I don't have any trouble parking but it will be interesting to try!

Sorry about the crappy pic ... smoke in Sydney today is horrendous with bushfires everywhere! I'll get some better pics when it clears up.

Yes it is ... well spotted.

Thanks guys, the VF shape is really growing on me, I like it from all angles (especially now it's lowered) ... just works IMO.

Looks great Nick
I must be getting old when white looks as good or better than coloured cars.

Had it lowered on Pedders Sports Ryder suspension today.

What did Pedders slug you for the lowering?

Nick, that's a very nice addition to your stable! Now you'll have to see Sonny to wave his magic upon it!

What did Pedders slug you for the lowering?

$910 ... parts supplied, fitted and wheel alignment.

Had more of a drive today, LOVING the suspension! Feels just as comfortable while driving but everytime I look at it I think "oh yeah"

G'Day Mate, Is the Redline replacing anything in your stable, or is it an addition?
A friend of mine in Adelaide has the same vehicle, it belongs to his wife, she loves the black wheels, he doesn't...he calls them the "burnout wheels", he'd prefer the silver, I guess I would too, but whatever, no doubt the Redline is a good package....different engines to HSV, but I read an article the other day saying that in everyday driving the difference was marginal, & that the 0/100 was only a tenth difference?
I've heard that the Bose sound system is pretty good too.....how does that system compare to what's in the C63?
Cheers, Pickles.

Looks great lowered, can't wait to see some better pics. My white Redline is still stock height, funny I haven't been harassed by my mates who usually think the first thing you need to do to any commodore is lower it. I'm assuming Pedders just did springs?

At $910 I reckon there must be at least a pair of shocks in there somewhere too?

Nick - would love to see some more photos showing ride height and stance etc and htg measurements too please.

Nothing more yet mate ... just haven't had the time. It is very quiet so I'm hanging to get something on there ... just not sure when that will happen!

According to WA Suspension here in Perth, there are no aftermarket short stroke shocks available for the VF yet so minimum htg is 375mm or you risk bottoming out.

Nick is yours springs only or shocks as well?

Looking forward to seeing some more lowered pics and htg measurements when you find time too.

Cheers

Interesting! Would have assumed what fitted VE would work on VF - haven't read of any changes to suspension (doesn't mean there aren't any) and know of a few guys who've lowered their VFs, although maybe they're springs only??????

There are definitely changes as Harrop had to make changes to their KW SC coilovers to suit the VF. Not sure what they are exactly.

I also confirmed twice with them that VF is different to VE.

be good to hear from those who have lowered if they are springs only...

For those that are interested...

Had my SSV lowered today by WA Suspension here in Perth. They fitted the lowest springs available to match the std shocks - ended up with 380 HTG which I reckon is spot-on for my needs. A great compromise between ride comfort, looks and practicality. Springs used were Lovells and interestingly enough were marked as "R&D" on the boxes.

Original HTG was 410 rear and 400 front.

Thanks mate. Probably tune, otrcai and cat-back at most - don't want to spoil the good work Holden have done on the nvh levels and overall refinement.

Sorry to crash your thread Nick.

If you go for a tune and otr it would be a shame not to get a full exhaust!

Been there before and more so I know it will spoil the refined luxo feel to the car. To be honest the std exhaust note is not too bad for stock. Maybe I am just getting Old!

I'm with you Vfast, I like the tone of the stock exhaust as well. But I'm getting old too

No probs! Car looks great, I was tossing up between white & silver ... can't really lose either way.

Geez I'm slack, still haven't taken any decent photos! I'll try this weekend, it's being washed as I type! Unfortunately Sydney's forecast is more rain ...

Loving the car, still haven't worked out all the toys but fortunately I also have ZERO issues! Not a single problem so far, must have got a good one ... touch wood! Still thinking I'll put an exhaust on it, I do like the refinement but it's just too bloody quiet. No interest in tunes / OTRs etc. ... it only drives around suburbia and it's plenty fast enough stock.

We're all getting old!

When I picked up my wagon I was embarrassed at how quiet it was. Now with 4000k on it it has improved ever so slightly.... Still needs more though. Is the redline exhaust different to the ssv?

I'm not certain ... but pretty sure they are the same system.
