Guys,
I have had a quick look around, but can not find anything relating to this.
I have a VF SSV Redline, that has been tuned, but nothing done to the auto box.
I have noticed every now and then, when there is down shifting or spirited driving the center display (between the dials) pops up a display saying 'Performance Shift Active'
Question is how is this mode activated? It is not in the manual, and I think it only shown when it is in competitive mode!
Cheers

Cant give specifics as i havent looked in the book, but I know when I drive it, when I reach around 80 kph in short order and or XXX revs, with XXX throttle % ... the performance shift kicks in...will then stay in that mode depending on what you do... Ie more spirited driving, it stays on, if idle along in traffic it switches off.... I love it especially on the down shifts under brakes. Cant wait to try it at a track day, in track mode
Not the formal answer you wanted I know, but real world...
Ps I drive in performance mode everywhere, I am not sure if that is part of it.... :)

Thanks for that.. I am assuming you mean Competitive Mode.. I don't have an option to kick it into Performance mode!
1 press - Sports Mode
2 presses - Competitive Mode
Hold Down - ESP Off

My bad
GTS has Twist dial
touring... Soft everything
Sports... Sportier steering, bimodal etc
Performance... Above plus Sport MRC and Torque vectoring
track.... Above plus track MRC
And hold down button 8 secs = balls out track (all assists off) ;)
I might have missed something above... But you get the idea and I assume concept is the same with yours

I know on my VF SV6 ute when i push the auto selector to the left when its in drive the dash lights up with "performance shift active" and it sharpens up the gear changes, then if you want to change manually you can push the lever forward or backwards to select the desired gear but I've never seen it come up by itself without moving the lever to the left?
cheers Greg.

Thanks Greg
I'm in the car now and can definitely say on the Redline moving to the left displays Sports Mode On. I have to correct my previous press once it doesn't say anything just shows the traction control off light.
Cheers
