This is my first post.
I hope the photo works.
I am currently building up a VK Calais.
Model : 1985 VK CALAIS 333 PACK
Paint : Factory Tuxedo Black
Interior : Factory leather
Engine : LS1 (VT SS)
Gearbox : T56
Diff : VL Turbo

The car has had a complete bare metal respray. The body has never been in an accident.
The only rusted panel behind the rear screen has been replaced.
The interior has been retrimmed to original look.
Build time to date is about 18 months.

Hope to see more photos, I loved the VK Calais, mainly for the digital dash board. Can't ever remember seeing a Tuxedo Black one. Tuxedo Black must be one of the rarer old Holden colours, I've only ever seen the Brock VC HDT in black.

What's the 333 Pack? Is that the 4 speed manual and B Cast Heads package?

Cheers, Matthew

+1 for more pics!! This is a dream build for me, I love seeing thisstuff. LS1 power with the weight of a VK!! I so wish I was brave enough to attempt a build like this! What is in store for interior and dash, you mentioned original so is that a retrim of the old stuff? Wheels?

333 auto, 334 manual. According to HDT.

333 and 334 packs in the Calais were standard Holden production build items ....

and
VK SLs were similarly available with 134 packs and Berlinas with 234 packs (5.0 4 spd M21 manuals )
I had a 234 Berlina as a GMH co car :)

Eight months ago it was was a bare metal shell.

333 packs were :-
3 = Calais
3 = V8 304
3 = Trimatic

I have the arcticle on the "HDT CD". It is what inspired me to do this build.
I have not seen another Tuxedo black Calais with the leather interior.

This is the drivers seat. The rest are packed away or at the trimmer.
Trimmer is Peter Blackman. Did a good jod to match the original look.

Pity about the oil leak from rear of engine, car looks great.

I replaced the rear main seal so I am hoping that is from bleeding the clutch.

It's looking great. When does the black interior go in? I had a 304 VK. I remember the headlights were atrocious. Just about had to light a match to see if they were working.
