Has anyone put HID's in their VF yet?
I tried some VE low beam ones I had, but it brings up an error message on dash, and lights turn off automatically after approx. 20 sec

The VF ought sense power draw on the circuit to monitor for blown globes. Are you using 35w HID's. 55w might work ok

The lights are ok on the VF but we went for a fairly long night drive in the mountains last night and you really need brighter lights to spot all the scrubbers and roos haha As we couldn't drive it to fast with out risking panel damage.

Got 55w
These were a VE kit and ballasts replace rear cap on VE cars, but not VF - luckily ballast fitted inside VF headlight and original cap screwed on.
Absolute mongrel job fitting D/side HID!!!

Oops - just pulled them out and replaced with "plus 120" for now
Loked at them, and they are only 35w - possibly 55w will do the trick
