Can anyone recommend a good place to get my air-con serviced in the west subs of Melbourne please.
I had it serviced a few years ago and it needs doing again.

There's nothing to "service" in an aircon system. If it doesn't work and you had it regassed a few years ago then the system has a slow leak. Go over the A/C system with a UV light (assuming the last guy used a UV reactive refrigerant in the system last time it was gassed) paying particular attention to conneting points, compressor, and condensor (in front of the radiator). If you luck out, try one last go before you take it in and run the lamp over the A/C drain tube - if gas is leaking at the evaporator (inside the dash) there's a chance the UV will leak out of the drain and stain the tube when draining water.

Hope this helps, if you don't have a leak then maybe there's an intermittent issue with the compressor or a pressure sensor, but if you had it "fixed" a few years ago and now it's packed it in again I'd bet on a very slow gas leak.

Yeah that's what I meant by "Service". I want someone to go right through it and fix anything that needs replacing and regas it.

There is a place I know out Bayswater way that is awesome on A/C..been there for years.
KSR Auto Air..Keith Robertson. 97621011.
A bit far from you I guess, but I never mind travelling for the right job.
