The most cost effective "trick" is a happy dyno

Welcome to the forum mate.
Sounds like you have all the bolt on's there (but IMHO the "bigger throttle body" is a waste of time and money on a stock engine)
Sounds like you know most of the ropes, "superchargers and cams" (also stallies, stroking and heads) would be the next step.
Sadly there are not many other "tricks" to getting much more power out of them.;)

If you want a faster car, change the diff gears and put a decent converter in it. It's not all about peak power, may win at the pub but doesn't necessarily win races.

100Hp shot of Nitrous will give a nice bump

ohhh yeah nitrous in my daily that would put me up a tree lol
i spent $2000 on my diff its completely new with redline oil in it so im not changing gears
thinking of doing a stall but dont see much point in it when its just my daily
the throttle was only 10mm bigger then the original one,
oh and yeah my ls1 motor is a vz ss series 1 motor as it was a new motor out of a crate that was thrown in my wh
thinking of selling my rego plates FRD H8R maybe

cam (+stallie?) would be the way to go, unless you're keen on spending $$$$

It would have been advisable to have done gears at the same time as new diff. Diff gears and stall converter of reasonable size will get the statesman moving a lot better ftom standing start. 3.7s and a 3500-4000rpm stall would be great. I did a 2800rpm stall in my wagon that would be about same weight as statesman and wasnt big enough.

i did gears with the diff the standards in auto gear ratio is 3.08 single and i upgraded them to 3.46 LSD which was a completely new set up and new housing and all which threw my speedo out by 20km. only the manuals have 3.46 gears standards and even then majority are singles, if i have a manual i would of put 3.7's

If you wanted more poke, should have gone for the 3.7's or 3.9's. Wouldn't notice a difference in economy but it would wake it up a lot more.
Speedo is easily corrected by your tuner.

3.46 LSD is good in an A4 IMHO. Sure, you'll see people suggesting 3.73, 3.91 and even 4.11 but for a daily 3.46 is a good choice I reckon. That said I have a mate with 3.73s in his bolt on VX SS and he still gets excellent economy on the highway and a good shove in the back when he floors it! :burnout:
See http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?55597, especially post #7 of http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?33344 which is still pertinent even though it's by now years old.
As white lie suggested, the speedo is an easy fix (which I would have assumed any decent diff place should have done for you as part of the swap???).

My bad Coppers & Insurers only worry about how much tread you have!:nyuk:
and some better tyres
+1 for good tyres, it took me a long time to figure out that tyres are one of the two best bang for your buck ways to improve a cars overall performance, the other being weight reduction.

Plenty of tyre threads on here. Just do a search on say Kumho, Federal, Falken and you'll find plenty of reading. As with everything like that everybody has different opinions on what's good and what's bad...........

They changed to slightly bigger injectors in the VX with the LS6 intake manifold.

I really like this gif. Can this be made readily available like the Smileys are?
Then you run the risk of the forum being populated by Search Nazi's, the Mods do a good enough job of keeping it in check, quite often if a question is asked there can be new information supplied as things do change and all Searching will find is old outdated threads/posts.

It's just a saved image, you just right click your mouse over it, save image and then you can just insert the image again in any post
I like it for when people ask questions which if they used the :search: button they could get heaps of answers
much quicker, because the same question has been answered hundreds of times before.
Use it as often as you want mate:goodjob:

It's a great little gif. I would never use it in spite, only to show the newbies how to use the search function in the nicest most constructive way
