hi guys just wondering
About the fuel system on the gen 3 ls1
I've been told by one person that there is a fuel regulator on the motor and others are telling me its
a pulse dampener
reason being I've done a conversion from v6 to ls1 the only thing I haven't changed is the fuel pump in the tank
I heard vy ss fuel and assembly have a regulator in that ?
car is running rich as and when I accelerate hard in bogs down and almost stalls
im abit of a noob when in comes to cars and fuel systems any help would be awesome

100%
The reg is in the swirl pot. There is a Schrader Valve on the rail, check your pressure, should be 58psi for a stocker.
It is a pulse dampener.

The regulator is in the fuel tank
Its pulse dampener
I would've thought 58psi a bit high? Could be wrong.
OP I'm guessing your car is stock, if that's the case have a look at the air flow meter (try unplugging it and taking it for a test drive, if it improves that's your problem).

I changed the fuel pump in the tank when I did my LS1 conversion, changed the metal fuel lines under the car too. If you change those DON'T let them come out of the rubber bushes that hold them together, you will wish for death trying to get them back in, they're bundled with the brake lines get all of them complete uncut and bolt it up that way it takes you 15 minutes instead of 15 hours :)

If you're looking down the connections (as in can see down the holes), from left is in to factory reg, vent in the middle and high pressure outlet on the right

Have you tried unplugging the MAF like I suggested (assuming it still has one)?
