Hi,
I'm not having much success in finding a H7 CANBUS HID Kit for my VF. Has anyone fitted one yet? If so, where did you get it from?
Thanks

What about THESE (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/6000K-PURE-WHITE-35w-CANBUS-EFX-H7-Xenon-HID-Low-Beam-Headlight-Light-Kit-/260889105093?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cbe33d2c5&_uhb=1) ones? I use the 35w in my low beam and 50w in my high beam and have been very happy with them. Both are a proper plug and play and have worked faultlessly so far.

Thanks. I can't see how to order for a VF Commodore.

Is the VF a CANBUS system?
Wonky

VEs run CAN-BUS and from all I've read the VFs do too.

I found one from a Aussie E-Bay Dealer. Fits the VF.
Just in case you are interested:

What i meant though Gary was there was no need for a CANBUS HID kit in the VE as the light voltage was not monitored.

You don't order it for a specific car, you just order the bulb type you need. The kits are essentially all the same just with different bulb types.

Yeah, which is any CANBUS HID system. The VF lights don't need any VF specific programming or whatnot, any CANBUS system with the right plugs/globes will work. It's just a voltage/amperage monitor isn't it? If it's "using" the correct power then it's working.
Now that I've said that, if the system is programmed for a certain voltage and even a CANBUS HID kit isn't displaying that, it'd have to throw a fault. I guess the question then is what's different between the VE and VF headlight wiring?

The CANBUS system doesen't actually communicate with the globes (obviously) which technically makes the term CANBUS compliant globes etc. not entirely accurate. As per your suggestion, a body control module will monitor the voltage drop or amperage across the globe. Thus, when a globe blows or possibly when you fit a higher wattage globe, the BCM will detect this and the CANBUS system will then communicate the globe out and its location.
Now that I've said that, if the system is programmed for a certain voltage and even a CANBUS HID kit isn't displaying that, it'd have to throw a fault. I guess the question then is what's different between the VE and VF headlight wiring? The VE had no such technology fitted. I installed both high beam and low beam HID's with out any issue. These kits were not considered to be "CANBUS" compliant.
