4. VX Supercar Front Bumper Bar (Fibreglass). Made of extra thick fiberglass compared to normal (Paid extra for this), this is perfect for track days. Allows a lot more air into the radiator, seems to help with front down force/stability (although could just be the placebo effect?). Also handy as it prevents your standard front bar from getting stone chips/sandblasted on the track. Physically its in good condition, but the paint isnt great. Note: Its dusty as hell and got a lot of bugs on it in the first pic, didnt have time to wash it yesterday. Still looks good and serves it purpose.

Asking $300

What size motor and KW was the oil coolers fitted for? What mountings did you use and were did you fit them? I have a VZ ,so just wondering as I have an interest in these items.

Hey mate,

The Setrab cooler was used as engine oil cooler a for a 7L 427ci LSX with a Harrop HTV2300 supercharger running 11psi. Engine was making around 1250rwnm although a low "peak" kw rating of 415rwkw due to the cam choice (Powerband starts at 1900rpm).

The Earls cooler was previously used for engine oil in my old LS1 making 275rwkw/750rwnm, but was recently being used for a coolant loop which cooled the manual gearbox and differential (Using water to oil coolers mounted in the boot).

I changed to the Setrab as the length/height pretty much covered the entire opening of my VX SS front bar, meaning maximum cold air flow for best cooling.

I made a simple "tray" to sit in front of the radiator and support all the coolers as seen in the pics below. There are a number of ways to mount these, depending on how much effort you want to go to. These style of coolers "Plate and Fin" are the best on the market (Considerably more efficient than tube and fin or heatsink style).

The reason i am changing the setup is the heat exchanger i was using for the supercharger wasnt getting enough cold air (as it was mounted behind the engine oil cooler) and i was seeing intake temps above 80 degrees. Also being the stock intercooler its intended purposes was for 6psi on a 5.7-6L V8, not 10+ PSI on a 7L V8 (We are running the supercharger at basically its fastest possible speed, so its generating a LOT of heat). So i need to fit a much bigger intercooler and place it as the first cooler to get the coldest air. This means i dont have enough room to mount the long skinny Setrab anymore, so i am changing a number of heat exchangers around to give myself enough room.

Happy to answer any other questions. Also happy to provide guidance on what fittings/where to buy etc.

Cheers, Errol

New Intercooler being mounted at the very front, as you can see from the size it leaves very little room for anything else.

Sorry mate,

But that Setrab cooler was ~$400 delivered and is in brand new condition, the other cooler is $200 delivered and is also in new condition. I can be a little flexible on price, but $150 is way too low. If i dont get a decent price ill just use them on one of my family's cars for transmission or power steering oil.

Cheers
