Ok so we have a VE SS that just sits in the shed, has low k's 80000 for a 2008 model,

We just bought a LX SS Hatch in Tuxedo Black and thought why not add a HSV next to it instead of the SS

We have seen a 2013 VE Clubby 25th with the 325kw engine black on black,

Question is, Is it really worth the extra cash over a R8 and 317kw

One thing that pisses me off is the 12k offers for trade in,

Morpheus Purple low k's and excellent loved condition

Is it worth updating if it is what the word on the E 3 Series, we are not keen on the VF looks so there not an option, sadly if that's the last Commodore for us, its a fizzle

Thanks ad look forward to your opinions

If it just sits in the shed, sell it privately. Pointless trading it for 12k IMO.
I like the 25th Anniv's, would be a lot nicer to sit in the shed than the SS

I have read that it was just a stickers up car, that was my other concern

Most of it was. Think the biggest thing was the forged wheels. I guess it depends what premium you're paying for it over a regular R8 in similar condition.

I have an E3 R8 25th Anniversary, black on black and love it.

I haven't had an SS to compare it to, my previous car was a 2011 SV6 series 2 and the E3 is worlds apart from it, and I'm not talking about power which you'd expect, the whole feel of the car is better.

I wouldn't trade it for a Gen F and I have done a HSV drive day and driven all of them including the GTS, whilst the Gen F has lots of good gear (and power when your talking supercharged GTS) I think the E3 looks better and has more special HSV features, e.g. scooped bonnet, larger side vents, special dash, different tail lights / tail light location.

I didn't go chasing a 25th Anniversary model or anything, its just what they were selling when I was buying but now I'm planning on holding onto it.

The 25th An E3 is one of my favourites, for the little fact you get a little something different over the main model (sort of a proper special). My wife wants a wagon, and there's 2 no where near me thank goodness, otherwise I'd be allot poorer right now.

Are you buying the Clubby just to sit in the shed apart from the occasional dust-off and cruise?

If so the LX would be my weekend cruiser as the Clubby won’t really stand out in a world full of late model HSV’s.

If I wanted an alternative to the LX to change my weekend driving mood I’d rather a HQ or something similar. It'll cost the same to sit in the shed and not so many of them on the road.

Well with the shit trade offers, we finish the weekend depressed, the black one looks ace, but has black rims was owned by Holden new, has had a few tyre kickers in it, sadly while sitting in the yard. There is a perfect blue one privately one the market.

As for dust collectors, have a few of them the SS is our holiday car, and large family car for longer journeys too. Above it on the hoist is a CV 6 Monaro Dads pride and joy with next to none k's that will be always there

Hmmm, 12k is just plain rude knowing they will have it on the yard for $22k
