I have 2 VF Sportwagons one SSV auto, brand new (odo 11 kms, full tank) and one SS auto (odo 8000kms, full tank) both are lower at the right rear by 9mm compared to the left side, the front is the same height both sides.
My work car is a VF SV6 sedan and it is 10mm lower on the right rear side.
My last two private cars (VE SS auto sportwagon and SV6 sportwagon) were also 8mm lower on the right rear, and dealer replaced right rear spring on SV6 under warranty and said it had been compressed, WTF!
I've had no heavy loads or towing or rough off road use. Does anyone know why this might be the case?.
I suggest you measure your own VE-VF.

Usually they bias the springs to the drivers side as the car will always have a driver, wonder if somehow the springs were switched/mislabelled on the production line...

Maybe they put the US springs in ?

Someone might have missed it at change of production!

Same springs are used either side.
They should have a label on each one. Check to see if the part number/code matches. Should be fairly easy to see.

What are the numbers for the front springs Dave, both the same?

Yes the fronts are both the same as well.
As for part numbers, there are a number of different ones depending on application. Most variants use two options- 92290030 or 92290031- but the mix is a little too complex to type up (eg: one could be used in one FE2 application whereas the other is used in another FE2 application!)

Thanks, Aftermarket use 2 different fronts wasn't sure about OEM, so it's looking more like a spring seat height issue on the VF's, noticed KPM's VF is down on the drivers rear as well. very odd...

A bag of cement strategically placed in the left side boot will solve the problem!:yup:

It compensates for the camber of the road ;)

That might be right, as all cars have driven straight.

I just did that but it compensates my weight sort of lol

My Monaro was/is like that - but I wonder if it is actually in the chassis as a new set of Pedders coil overs still showed the same issue, so we had to open up the offside rear a little more to get it to sit straight. Interestingly though my Monaro was one that was originally destined for the USA, as they had fitted USA coded glass in it .

What the hell?
Leather man goes to the UK, and the first thing he responds to after 3 years absence is a saggy bum thread?

Good to have you back mate

Hey mate - literally came back on here to check some stuff and saw that thread. I trust you are all OK in the sunshine over there. Here's something you guys might like - I'm running in something called Thunder Road over here in August - 1 mile drag race. Only in the Monaro as they are supposed to be street cars and the ute has never been put through all the IVA tests it needs to go on the roads here.

Will be interesting to see how the other cars run. As always the N/A versus F/I lines are being drawn!!!!

Cheers
