I noticed that there has been several posts about issues with the VF climate control where the rear vents blow hot air while the front are on cool.
I am having that problem and the dealer has ensured the latest software is installed but issue is still a real problem.
Did anyone get a satisfactory answer / remedy to their problem or has anyone else experienced the same thing and get it resolved?
I have had the same issue in my Calais V. Long and short of it is that if on auto, it will be more pronounced and they have cool air on front dash vents to keep people awake. If you put the control to feet/dash it isn't as bad. My wife's Honda does the same thing.
My thoughts on this are that because the cars are exported to the States, GM want to avoid a lawsuit based on their cars putting people to sleep so we all get the same system.

There can be a couple on non-software related issues that can cause this. One of the two possible outcomes of this issue is that the console vent temperature does not change.
Perhaps ask them if they have referred to techline TL2347-1310.
Thanks Davo, I will ask when I get a chance.
I asked to get this checked at my 9 month service yesterday all normal apparently. 3361

Ref. No.: TL2347-1310
Condition
The customer may advise that the inside of the centre console cup holder and storage bin feels hot to touch OR that the console vent temperature does not change.
Cause – There are 2 potential causes for these complaints
The HVAC console reinforcement duct may not be fully sealed; this will allow heated air to leak around the inside surfaces of the console causing the temperature of the surrounding materials to rise.
The console vent actuator linkage that controls air to the console duct may be disconnected.
Correction - Production
The console reinforcement duct was changed to provide improved sealing from 23/7/2013. The vent actuator linkage was modified from 15/08/2013 to avoid unintentional disconnection at the assembly plant.

What dealer was this?
Pretty poor response, 'normal characteristic of all VF sedans', this is why Holden service gets a bad rap... So Holden design a car that when it's hot outside the front blows cool air and the rear blows hot air, yeah sure.
Well done to Davo, maybe ask your dealer if they carried out this tech line?

Unfortunately, similar happens across many (usually) "mainstream" brands when cars are under warranty. Limited scope to claim back labour time is the main culprit, so if they believe it to be "normal" they wont spend much time on it.
One would HOPE any relevant techlines were referred to though! But humans will be humans...
