How hard is it to fit the entire suspension less springs, drive shafts and diff from a WK Statesman into a 1999 series 2 VT wagon? Trying to overcome the camber problem inherrant in the VT's and have a little time on my hands.

Going back to when the VXII's were released I recall reading that retro fitting wasn't viable due to mounting points on the VXII's being different to the VT's and VX.

How low is it?
Have you got a decent camber kit in it yet?

there was an article in a street machine or commodore mag, about doing the a swap so you can get the control link setup, but having to swap out the rear k frame assembly. it is something ill be doing very shortly, when I get my diff out for rebuild.

The only difference I've heard of is the mount for the top of the shock is in a slightly different location but the whole later cradle just bolts in shocks and all.
Also as said above the whole cradle and swing arms with control links has to be swapped over.
the VX11 onwards ran different camber angle on the hub face which is why the shock mount was moved slightly but we are only talking 2-3 mm centre line, so nothing in the real scheme of things.

Cradles are bolt in. Shocks are the only difference between sedan/ wagon/ ute variants. A standar bushed Wk K frame would be my choice over even the doosiest of 4 point kit to a VT cradle. No toe control links makes it a losing shit firht from the start.

Most important thing when you take the car for allignment after fitting the cradle is to tell them to allign it as a WK or whatever the cradle is from. Some nuffas tried to allign one of my customers cars that I did a VY2 cradle swap to and fault reported it saying they couldn't allighn it..........as a VT series 1 ffs!
