G'day all,

After replacing a few things in the wife's Vectra, the next on the list is the fuel pump. Can't find any DIY guides online, has anyone changed the pump on one of these? It's a 2004 ZC Vectra 2.2L 'liftback' (not direct injected). The pump is inside a plastic swirl pot, inside the tank, but is sold as a complete 'sub-assembly' so that should be relatively easy. Also not very expensive to buy (aftermarket).

My main question is, can it be accessed from under the back seat, or does the tank need to come out?

Under the rear seat cushion if its a sedan.
Just pull the cushion up hard.
Two clips on left and right side.
They are a PITA to clip back in.

Be careful with the aftermarket fuel pump modules for opel vehicles. the sender units show incorrect gauge readings as the modules are the same for a lot of opel vehicles but with different sender specs.
If the new pump module comes with a sender unit swap it out with the one off the old pump if possible. It should just unclip and unplug from the pump module.
But I'm pretty sure it's separate from the pump module on the Vectra.
Three tangs/clips hold the module in the tank too.

Thanks for that. It's a 'liftback' but hopefully will be the same. Yeah the aftermarket pump is only the pump & swirl pot, no sender. Will have a look tonight and see what access is like.
