Good luck getting one, dealerships are being allocated 1 or 2 only - we have been allocated 2 and they are both sold.

I find it difficult to believe that HSV will put a 430KW LSA engine in a Ute.

Doubt it the way GTS sedan has been selling!

An LSA powered Maloo would sell out in no time.

Carry spare rear tyres in the back because they won't last long...

Don't forget that utes are actually heavier than the equivalent sedans and given the fact that the front half of the vehicle is identical all the extra weight must be in the back half! Don't be fooled by the typical "utes must be lighter" thinking!!

^ Longer wheel base too, the utes are built on the caprice / grange platform are they not.?

Wonder if it will get the decent diff, gearbox and oil coolers etc, usually with these specials they only put in what they have to

Probably not! Reckon it will come with big stoppers & the GTS safety gear etc.

One of the articles suggests that the ute won't have MRC but I bet that it will have the bigger diff, just to handle the torque output of the LSA, as well as all the oil coolers for reliability.

There was a thread on another forum that mentioned them getting the paddle shifters, I reckon it will get the whole driveline to handle the power. Same thread a guy said he read it last night and got the last allocated one in bris and gold coast today. Definately a hot item and a great way to see the maloo go out!

Hi guys
Yes it gets the paddles but think if they do this for the maloo what are they going to do to finish off the rest of the models. Interesting times ahead. If the hsv internet dude is watching this thread which they always do say hello to julie hurst for me. Hahahahaha

Cheers tezza

Only thing I dont understand is why only make 150 of them?

It does seem strange to have such a low amount made when they could obviously sell alot more.
There are still a couple of years of production left, I thought a config like this would have been left until 2017. Might be saving the special stickers and black badges for 2017?

Most articles are suggesting full drivetrain, cooling, brakes, paddles etc. I'm sure the questions would be answered if you enquired about on with a dealer but I wouldn't be surprised if they're all gone already.

I'd like to know what will happen to the tray with a big diff under there. Is there enough room?

Personally, I prefer them doing low volume numbers. Makes them a lot more unique, HSV certainly lost that appeal from VE onwards.

So, what was your "DRIVEAWAY" price, and did you enquire as to any colour, trim options etc?
And when, did the Dealer specify, would be delivery?

They have sold out already. HSV is ''considering'' building another 100 max.

Trust me. Again. :yup:
