VE SS ticking

Hey guys, car's started making this tick tick ticking sound.

Sounds louder from underneath the car. Last week had a full exhaust fitted. Could it be that? Any ideas? Cheers

My guess would be an AFM lifter getting ready to fail!

Check the simple things first, exhaust leak or loose spark plug.

Given extractor pipes are much thinner than the cast headers it could also be as simple as the noises you're hearing now were previously more muffled??? :confused:

More along the lines JJW was alluding to, check things like the headers now need to be retorqued or a common one with some extractors is problems getting one lead in particular to sit on properly, or the lead is touching the pipe and burning/failing.

I'm just an old deaf bunt but can't really hear anything much out of the ordinary.......... :)

How about more details like year model, AFM, level of mods, Km's & current oil weight?
