VF HSV steering wheel upgrade available cheap

Hey all
Hspo have a great deal on upgrading to a hsv/ssv leather steering wheel at the moment. They.re selling them for 1/2 price. Part no.is 92273524. Should be around $150 depending on which dealer you get it from plus fitting. I.ve knocked over a few now and they are completely different to a VE. Takes me around 25 - 30 minutes to do.

Bloody hell thats good value. So much cheaper than VE steering wheels! Don't suppose they'd fit a VE though, and probably not cheaper if you add the cost of new air bag, switches and facia. Oh well.

Just for people's reference the quoted part number is the SSV one. HSV's have a different one.

Hsv wheel looks exactly the same. Part no. will be different for hsv wheel as they like to charge double the price for their parts even though they are the same.. 😎😎

My 2008 LS3 powered Senator steering wheel was not the same shape as my VE 07 SSV steering wheel . the HSV has a very straight section at bottom of steering wheel rim.

I'm pretty sure thats the same as the steering wheel in my 08 SSV, except for the badge of course.

In that case someone has changed it. The SSV steering wheel is basically the same shape, but the HSV one is noticeably thicker.

If your wheel looks like that it will have been upgraded to a hsvi sports steering wheel. see if it has a build plate under the bonnet behind the LH h/light with sto stamped on it somewhere??

Sh#t even $200 is bloody cheap. I might have to stock up on a few of those as well for later. 😎😎 all the hsv.s i looked at had black stitching on them?? Different models maybe??

If your wheel looks like that it will have been upgraded to a hsvi sports steering wheel. see if it has a build plate under the bonnet behind the LH h/light with sto stamped on it somewhere??

Or the previous owner as done as I've done on both my SSVs and bought HSV steering wheels and had them fitted. :yup:

and a couple of months after i got it , I had an E3 Senator wheel put on.... ( I thought all 'proper' HSV wheels were the same but after reading this I am not so sure)

VE Hsv wheel flat bottom perforated leather both sides
VE Hsvi/holden sports wheel flat bottom raised bumps on both sides like a manual g/knob.
