I have a 2006 Lx6 Adventra which has developed starting problems. First it was only happening when I filled up with fuel, it would fire then stop but would start when cranked for while then sometimes it would struggle to pick up setting off the engine warning then clear and run perfectly. Today in hotter weather it has done this every time I start it after standing for a while. Also the radio and clock dies frequently and comes back to life as and when it sees fit. Local dealer has no suggestions! There seems to have been similar threads posted with possible solutions ranging from BCM to earth problems or maybe the alternator. (it has done 214K) Help!!!!

I would be leaning towards BCM. I thought the starting problem and struggling for pick up might have been fuel pump or fuel filter, but the clock and temperature thing sounds more electrical.
I can't help with BCM, but here are a couple of things I would try:
When you turn the key to the "On" position, you should hear the fuel pump turn on, then after a few seconds it will turn off again, now if you try to start the car it should fire up quickly because it has fuel pressure. If your pump is overly noisy or takes a while to turn off it could be time for a new pump or to check your fuel filter.
The clock/radio could just be a dodgy connection. You could try pulling it out by cutting up a coat hanger and bending into 2 "U" shapes, then insert them in the holes in the headuint, one "U" for the LHS and the other for the RHS.
Goodluck and let us know how you get on.

Do the easy stuff first, check connections pretty much everywhere!
On the key barrel, at the battery, earth's off the battery, engine etc
Take the wire/lug off, clean both sides up and reconnect, don't just check that they're tight.
Sounds like a bad connection somewhere or perhaps the bcm on it's way out.
