Hey guys/gals,

Who has a VT/VX/VY/VZ and has taken their Sump bash/cover plate off? Beside the fact it appears to protect the sump I am wondering how much heat they hold in and air they stop from coming in.

Anyway, interested in what guys are running with

Cheers
Brad

SLP used to make a lightweight one which are basically a skeleton/frame... don't think it was that popular.
I'm not sure if it would help with airflow thru the bay or disrupt the normal path. That's why there's all those little plastic trim pieces at the bottom, to create smooth airflow underneath the vehicle. I'd also say that's why BMR's lightweight sump plate is still the full size but lighter material.
