A marketing ploy by holden, but better the money be in our communities than with Holden :D

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. Local, state and federal governments develop very specific policies for grant programs like this so that the funds are appropriately allocated and spent - this takes time and experience. Unless Holden have hired some people with experience in this area, they're out of their depth.

Well considering Holden is going to be a sales company in 3 years time they need to keep up there marketing especially as sponsering sport is not a bad way to gain exposure to familys (via kids sport) which is the market Holden tries to sell cars to. I'd say this is better value than sponsering V8 supercars which is an exercise in preaching to the converted and looks like its on death's door anyway...
