HSV Facebook page shoes HSV will be making an announcement tomorrow. Anyone know what it could be? Hopefully not just a sticker kit.

Wonder if it will be about something imported with less than 8 cylinders? I hope it isn't though.
EDIT: Taken from FB:
Tomorrow we unleash a #RareBEAST at 9am AEDST!
Be watching…

Senator SV...50 in Oz and 2 in NZ....
A RARE BEAST
FOR THE CHOSEN FEW
The Senator SV is a rare beast indeed. Only 50 are in existence in Australia and 2 in New Zealand.
THE SPECIES
With its HSV DNA, the Senator SV has everything you’d expect. Powered by HSV’s 340kW, LS3 V8 engine with the stealth of a 6-speed automatic transmission with Active Select and Paddle-shifters or a Tremec 6-speed manual.
THE LIFESTYLE
The luxurious interior is enhanced by HSV Performance seats wrapped in Onyx leather trim. There’s also a 9-speaker Bose audio system, Magnetic Ride Control suspension and a Driver Preference Dial to control a range of electronic performance systems. Meanwhile the Senator SV’s AP Racing forged 4-piston brake calipers and MoTeC inspired Enhanced Driver Interface simply add to the fierce appeal.
DISTINGUISHING MARKS
This beast also boasts many unique features that set it apart from the pack, like the distinctive “pitch black” styling accents found on the grille surround, fender vents, mirror scalps and luxury lip spoiler. It moves sure-footedly on the stunning new 20" SV Rapier forged alloy wheels in Dark Stainless while the “Senator SV” markings on the sill plates, I.D. plate and EDI screen, together with the unique build number, remind you that this beast is something very special.
THE HUNT IS ON
With so few in the wild, this powerful beast is going to be hard to catch. Hunt one down today.

How would you like your sticker pack sir?
Ahh but Mr HSV, I really would of liked a LSA, I mean FFS you stuck it in a poxy Maloo.
We could put LSA stickers on the car if you like?

that is amazing... a manual Senator :)
I just received some Marketing material in the post from HSV a brochure that when you open plays a short video of the SV Senator on a screen inside the brochure & it comes with a usb cord so when plugged into My laptop plays four short clips.
The Maloo gets the LSA but not a super limited edition Senator???????

Fugly POS. HSV needs a single luger to the back of its corporate head.

Why no unique build number on the console plate, surely making only 50 would have been simple.

The LSA in a limited edition Senator is a no-brainer. But let's not do anything to get sales up, just stick on a badge or two. Cos marketing is about fancy badges, not engineering.

Pricing wise, I would have thought an LSA Senator be more expensive than the GTS? making the exercise a bit moot.

Hence why a lot of enthusiasts have moved on....
Don't get me wrong, I understand why they put the LSA in the Maloo. There are a lot of cashed up guys in their 20's earning decent bucks in mining who would be the envy of their mates rocking up with an LSA Maloo.
Sadly HSV seem to have abandoned their core supporters for a quick buck with the Playstation generation.....

Why so? $100k isn't that much these days. I'm pretty sure most middle aged guys could afford another $20k for something that gives both style and go. Not everyone wants to look like they've just jumped out of an Xbox game.

I like it...Nice wheels anyway. A LSA option would have been nice but I guess if you want a LSA just buy the GTS.

Senator is the best looking HSV of the lot. These wheels dont do it for me though.

Well, the RnD to redesign the cooling system to keep the clubsport bumper for starters..
Hopefully they bring out a numbered GTS-R / Walkinshaw / Group A type beast with the almighty LS9 sitting firming in the chassis rails... and only make a few of them.
Those wheels are a carbon copy of the F10 M5 wheels, I'm guessing someone got a good deal... A bit plain, and don't really suit the car, IMO.

LOL at people actually thinking HSV would do something worth talking about.
In other news that is worth a mention is LS3 and brembos all round for last of series SS, that's a rumor to start spreading
