I know before the current name they were call Summit, what was it named before Reg hunt or have I got that wrong?
Wish companies would put up decent on histories of a business if they a proud of being in the same location for a long time.
They are now part of the Tony White Group, this is a family business - a fairly large ones at that.
It seem that behind the scenes many dealers are now owned by large groups and no longer the usual stand alone businesses they once were to streamline and maximise profits or even stay open.

.. originally Reg Hunt Rhodes, the dealership eventually became Reg Hunt Holden
but on the site where Brighton Toyota is now.
Reg Hunt Holden was bought by Summit Investments a subsidiary of japanese company
Sumitomo.. and hence where Summit Holden came from. This was about 2000 from memory
the Tony White group has been collecting stealerships for a number of years.. buying John Collins
Holden from the Booran group (now Mornington Holden) and bought Summit Holden not long after
buying Watson holden (out at Greensborough/Bundoora). And I might add , TWG cleaned out
the Summit Holden employees after buying the business installing new used cars, fleets sales
and new car sales managers as well as the DP (one of whom i have to declare here is mate of mine)

Thanks Smitty for the information as I 'thought' that's were old Reg H. was, The location move intrigued me - done to rebuild (but sort of Ironic that Toyota should take over the site).
Good to know they had a clear out, some places the employees are shockingly bad to deal with (actually costing the owners a mint unknowingly) - so it natural when a new owner who knows what they are doing takes over can refresh the staff to keep a good crew.
I seriously believe they should send in secret shoppers to test out all aspects of a dealership like a regular audit.
It might surprise some as to what is really going on in their business under their noses.
Besides people doing the right thing have nothing to fear.
Also interesting how dealers were mainly named regards to the Person or family who owned them, then fancy names and now just Suburb of where they are based.
At least named this way they are easier to locate - all brands seem to be following the same naming conventions LOL!.

That's the one, a mate of mine used to know him when He was in used cars.
So, if someone's mentioned "The Tony White "Group"", He must've progressed fairly well sinse then?
What other Dealerships does He have?
Pickles?
