VE SS Exhaust question

Hi guys, question for those that have knowledge on exhausts. I currently have an 07 series 1 VE SS Commodore sedan fitted with a full Hurricane exhaust system (1 3/4 headers, high flow cats, 2.5" cat-back). I want to quieten it down and thinking I might just directly swap the Hurricane cat-back with a stock SS cat-back. Now my question is, will a stock cat-back line up with the aftermarket headers/cat converters or is modification required?

You can just change the rear mufflers to stock SS items, this will make it as quiet as a vacuum cleaner without all the hassle of changing the entire exhaust.
