Gday all,

I have the 4 pot PBR brakes on my VY HSV. The brake bleed nipples are seized and rounded so will be replacing them all. Can anyone help me out with the thread and pitch of the bleed nipples so I can purchase some more? Would like to buy them before taking the existing one out so I can still drive the car.

Cheers

A pic of the car for good measure!!!

I think you mean 2 pot PBR's mate. Nice clean XUV you have there though.

Nipples will be available from most places. Bursons/Repcp/Supercheap etc. Very generic

Yes i do, sorry about that. Went into repco today and they didnt have any so was going to buy some online. However didnt think there were so many different types of bleed nipples, one in nearly every combination imaginable!! Just bought some rear pads for it from Matt so will drop him a line.

Love the XUV, lots of grip from the AWD takes off like a rocket. Comfy, fits the whole family, can fit lots in the tub and can tow my car trailer with no worries at all! Didnt think I would ever buy a crewman but now im in it its awesome.

Needs a tune though, bit high on the fuel usage. So now will research an exhaust, OTR and somewhere to get a tune. Thinking VCM OTR, di filippo exhaust from the cat back.

Oh does anyone know if the crewman got the decent VY2 headers?? Mine is a Sep 2004 build so has the VZ bits.

You have a VYS2 being Sept. My04. What pipes does it have now?

Technically it's a VY II but it has the VZ LS1 under the hood. Has FBW and whatnot. I'd imagine it will have the regular VY II HSV pipes, but could also possibly been fitted with regular VZ pipes.
You'll be able to tell straight away by looking at them, the VZ ones will be real short

Not sure if the VY-II pipes will fit with the Front Diff and engine mount in the way unless HSV rejigged..

Excellent point IJ
Pretty sure Pacie make aftermarket pipes to fit the Adventra and whatnot

Was the reason when researching the Crewie for my purposes, opted for the 6L, has LS3 cam, DOD delete, PAC springs, full exhaust 278rwkw & around town 18L/100 loaded with tools & equipment. On the highway down to 8.8L/100

On a related note this car looks every bit as good in real life :)
