Hi guys,

What brand (Max Ellery, Gregory's etc) has the best workshop manual for a VY Commodore? I'm after a hard copy with lots of diagrams and set by step instructions on how to remove seats, dash, console etc. I know you can google these things but I just like reading instructions from an actual book rather than from a smart phone. Thanks heaps

Hopefully I can find a manual that has instructions in this sort of format

A lot! I know of one in cd format going for about $500!
Or you can find it in pdf and print it off and bind it if you want a hard copy. But there's a lot of pages.

None of the aftermarket ones will be as detailed as the image you put up above.

I wonder if this has the same content as the CD version you were referring to white lie?

Same ones I recently offered "free to good home"..though better than nothing. Reckon they're a ripoff of a Haines manual.

Click to view the download link then right click save as. It's about 110MB and the server is slow so should take about 10min.
Covers VT>VY and V6/5.0/LS1.

That looks like a digitised version of the Haines manual (just have to find mine to check) so if you are happy with this version and want a hard copy you have an option.

Thanks Smitty, any idea how much Holden generally charge for this manual?

mine cost me $420 + GST

and I reckon that is a bargain compared to the last set of paper manuals Holden did in VT.... 17 books worth over $1,200 !

don't think they are available any more (but they are the best book for your Commodore)
