Interesting ... little sports car that lets you enjoy the curves at a more legal speed.

They have the 1.5L now, followed by the 2L in October (USA only gets the 2L choice - more torque and ability to overtake on the freeway)
Interestingly Mazda really wants you to buy a Manual as LSD is std with a manual and deleted with the more expensive paddle shift automatic.

Fiat thinks it good (will add their own more powerful power plant) restyle the front for Tony and it will be call the Fiat's Abarth 124 Spider

2 Things it still need after the 2L

1) Folding Hard Top (Canvas softop at freeway speeds - not for me thanks)

2) Fix the rear Skyactive badge - they are all on consistently crooked - ie not inline with the body edge lines.
Not as bad as Nissan with the "Juke" logo on a dam angle like a 3 year old slapped it on.
But seriously 2015 and we can't get badges straight on a car - this just so ticks me off :-)

... they still use a ladder chassis to tie the front to the back? (like the first model?)

You mean that bit between the gearbox and the diff - so there is no diff dive / twist = yes.

They are less hairdresser with cage and sticky tires. Can have a lot of fun in one, driving that is, when set up right. If I was going to budget track something I wouldn't think twice about an older one.

If only the new MX5 came with a quad rotor and twin turbo like so...

The MX5 was always under powered IMO and still is, great little car just needs a factory 2L turbo...

The 100 only, MX5 SP's with the stock 1.8L engine and an after thought turbo kit slapped on later, for $55000 plus $2500 for A/C, well yea nah... never going to cut the mustard...
