Hey everyone first time poster very new to the forums :)

Ive got a VXII Clubsport R8 that im planning on doing a head and cam package on next year. First things first i wanna get my exhaust sorted i wanna go 1 3/4 Pacemaker 4into1s with 3 inch ballistic 100 cell cats. My question is, if i was to go a custom cat back system whether it be stainless or mild what setup would i need to make it sound different, i dont want it to sound like every other cammed gennie on the road, i want to go a twin 3 inch purely for the sound. Can anyone point me in the right direction on what i need or what is gonna sound good/perform aswell.

I was thinking of just buying this system but havent gotten into contact with anyone who has it so i can hear it or tell me if its any good?

Any thought would be appriciated!

Cheers!

Sound is like looks it’s so subjective.

What you may like someone else may not, the best advice is to get out there and get to some car meets and listen and ask.

I’m a 3 inch stainless fan myself with 1 7/8 and 100 cpi’s but I’ve also heard many good 2½ inch mild steel systems and the down side or plus depending on what turns you on of a 3 inch with 100 cell cats is a lot of crackle and farting on over run.

Everyone in traffic behind you and walking along the street will know you just backed off.

I’m also a big fan of Hurricane headers and Hurricane exhausts, I’ve had a few sets.
