After having a battery failure in my 3 button remote for my VZ Berlina I dropped into ShoeCare 33727393 at the Inala Plaza opposite Woolworths and the guy that runs it had me back up and running in about 10 mins, with a new key fob, fully programmed for $88 which I reckon is a bargain.

He had one of those "key insert and program code type machine thingy's" and also walked out to the car to finish the programming off and to check that all the functions e.g. start, doors lock and unlock and boot were all working.

Don't know what other models he can work with, but he seem pretty clued up re quite a few different makes and models.

After a mate lost his only set of keys (into the brisbane river) for his almost new land rover and ended up around $2k out off pocket and his vehicle off the road for a couple of weeks while the replacement key was flown from the UK ... I am paranoid about have two sets of fully functioning keys for my car.

Got a new Blade cut for mine, already had a working Fob, $43 it would have been $120 complete so sounds about average, got mine at one the little kiosks in a shopping centre.

That was very reasonable. I'm always weary about buying a secondhand car & the the seller has only one key. Last S/H car I bought I made them supply two keys or no deal, they gladly supplied me the 2nd one.
